I think it is this fact that starts to steer the cartoon more towards an older audience that can identify with this. Thats the time when you hang out with your friends a lot and get into stupid situations however you are beginning to need to take life more seriously. Quintel tried to explain that the characters are aged 23 as he wanted them to be similar to himself during his college years at Cal Arts. He storyboarded the whole idea and Craig McCracken and Rob Renzetti liked his pitch. The presentation Quintel gave to Cartoonstitute was purely visual as he didnt know how else it would make sense. With the exception of three the rest of the shorts got uploaded to the Cartoon Network website in 2010. Overall thirty nine shorts were in development and only fourteen completed and only two got turned into an aired cartoon.
The other short that made it was Uncle Grandpa. Regular Show ended up being only one of two of the shorts that was successful enough to be turned into an aired cartoon.
It was Craig McCrackens wife Lauren Faust (producer of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic) who thought of the name for the project as they often work on things together. The final product of the idea would be like a think tank where new cartoons would be thought of without the restrictions placed by the network. It was created by Rob Sorcher and headed by Craig McCracken the guy who created Power Puff Girls and Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends.

The subgenre is born from crossing rape as a motive with the vigilante movie, and its key scene is the protagonist’s transformation from victim to avenger. The rape-avenger is a woman who is raped and kills the man, or men, who raped her.
In some cases, the woman is killed at the end of the first act, and the “revenge” is carried out by her family, as in Last House on the Left.
